2004"Set up on May 12, 1965, as the outcome of 4 tailors having joined forces, DIELMAR has come a long way thanks to hard work and integrity, while implementing a series of measures, aimed at modernizing its technical and manufacturing structure. We have achieved that goal by incorporating a high degree of technology and quality, in conjunction with internal reorganization, thereby substantially enhancing the company’s competitiveness. DIELMAR, boasting a strong image on the specialized retail market and with our customer’s interests at heart, has made a major investment effort in Marketing/Communication, geared toward making our brand name really well known.

With a view to diversifying and expanding our consumer market, in 2001 DIELMAR opted for the "Own Distribution" concept. We set up our own stores in zones or shopping malls of recognized excellence and commercial potential. Fundamentally, this strategy has paid-off well for the company and all our trading partners, because it has led to an undoubted increase in making our label better known to the final consumer. From the very outset, our main concern has always been to establish and maintain a relation of trust with each of our customers, as permanent partners."

2004Currently, DIELMAR has an installed capacity producing close on 120,000 jackets and 240,000 pants annually. Equipped with a team of 400 professionals, who uphold the spirit that inspired its creation in the 60’s, we do our utmost to safeguard the traditional craftsmanship of bespoke tailoring, which still remains a firm ingredient in the company’s routine way of doing things today. A company perceived as a men’s wear market-leader in Portugal, last year we generated a turnover of some €13.5 million. Although at the beginning we mainly targeted the domestic market, today some 48% of our output goes for export, mostly within the EU market. In 2001, our Export Sales were mainly destined for 3 markets: US, France and Spain. Our first exports, in 1978, totaled €60,000.

This is the company’s primary label, marketed since its inception. Made for the Man appreciating quality and comfort, and produced with a painstaking selection of raw materials, designs and colors, it brings together, in perfection, international trends in masculine fashion.

It genuinely maintains the traditional craftsmanship of bespoke tailoring, inherent in its excellent modeling, high standards of quality and superior design.

DIELMAR MUST This label mainly targets the customer who is extremely discerning when it comes to choosing his wardrobe, and who turns to the refinement of the old "school" of tailoring, combining quality in production with comfort in the construction of its styles and the fine fabrics used in its collections. DIELMAR SOFT Aimed at younger men, it boasts soft, buoyant lines, suited to more casual wear. The simplicity of its unstructured construction offers a concept in step with the modern Man’s lifestyle. A spirit that is part of the young and dynamic go-getter, allied to a discriminating nature, choosing his wardrobe with a critical eye, knowing exactly what he wants in way of cut and materials. This line creates harmony and movement in colors, at the core of its collections.

DIELMAR SPORT Weekend-Collection, marked by the meshing of a city style with a sporting one, favoring the smart-casual look of Friday-Wear. Colors, Design and Comfort for those who like a style savoring of freedom. The sort of quality we create can only be achieved by applying the cutting-edge technologies employed in our manufacturing process and because we use the very best of raw materials available. Since there are few suppliers in Portugal whose standards of quality are up to those demanded by DIELMAR, most of our raw materials come from abroad, mainly from Italy, Spain and Germany.

(Custom-made Tailoring) Concept

2004Inspired by the tradition of bespoke tailoring, the DIELMAR Stores concept offers customers a personalized, custom-made tailoring service. We place a vast array of models and top quality fabrics with varied designs - all very carefully selected - at the customer’s disposal. Suits, jackets and pants, overcoats, morning coats and dinner jackets with beautiful cuts. All wearable and comfortable, they meet with the criteria of the most demanding of customers, who are able to experience the pleasure of exclusive, custom-made clothes from our stores, ready in just 3 weeks. Aside from the DIELMAR collection, you will find a range of fashion items and accessories available too. Since our company is geared to the high and medium-high end of the market, we have always been concerned about making sure that all our products are selected with meticulous care, with the intrinsic quality of every article a sine qua non.
