Ferreira & Principe has been in existence since 1986. For the first ten years, we operated as buying agents but now that type of business represents no more than 20% of our annual turnover.

Moving away from being buying agents, we started working as a full product supplier, able to subcontract almost any type of garment both in wovens and knits, produced with Portuguese or imported goods.

Located in Oporto, the capital of the Portuguese textile region, our office is managed by Jose Aguiar, aided by three merchandisers, one accountant and two quality controllers.

Our merchandisers are experts in dealing with commercial follow-up, collections and productions. Our controllers also know their job, with their having a complete technical knowledge of the production process. Major customers, whose labels are famous worldwide, knowing our skilled and professional approach, trust us to take good care of their interests.

Two years ago we decided to set up in Romania as well, providing our customers with another production possibility at more competitive prices. Our office is in Buzau, 100 kms from Bucharest, and offers the same level of service. We are working with both knits and wovens there, and are currently preparing to set up in Ukraine and Moldavia.

In Romania, we are well-acquainted with its customs procedures, as well as transportation. The customer, therefore, does not have to worry about this.

Mr. Aguiar, our general manager, has spent 30 years in textiles. First as a commercial manager of three important manufacturing plants, and now as Ferreira & Principe Lda's general manager and partner.
