Papelaria Fernandes first opened in 1891, in the center of Lisbon, as a stationery store.

This very store, located in Largo do Rato, is today one of our chain's leading stationery outlets and, conceivably, the most eloquent symbol of the whole company's corporate image.

Over time, however, we developed varied stationery-related activities. Such as manufacturing paper products and cardboard articles for office applications, printing, distributing office supplies and articles for school use, equipment and materials for technical design and reprographics.

Papelaria Fernandes is now a vertical corporate group from the parent company on down, having gone into various lines of business, creating different specialized subsidiaries in this sector.

Currently, our core shareholder is INAPA, a leading Portuguese economic group, and one of Europe's major paper producers and distributors.
